creamy peanut butter chocolate avocado smoothie
Hope your Wednesday is starting out great. We’re halfway through the week folks!
Remember that chocolate avocado pudding I posted last week? Well, since avocados have been such a steal lately (69 cents each!), I stocked up and have been making a batch almost every night. I’m trying to cut it in half since I tend to just eat as much as I make. An entire avocado at a time is a lotta avocado!
Half a batch is good, but I’m a girl loving volume.
Instead of making my oh-so-creamy and decadent chocolate avocado pudding one day I decided to pump it up, volume style.
Into a fluffy peanut butter chocolate avocado smoothie! Because you really can’t have too much peanut butter… ever.
To use less maple syrup here, I subbed in some ripe banana. Natural sweetness + extra creaminess hit the spot. Still, just a touch of maple syrup to fight off any bitterness from the avocado. I’m not one to overly sweeten my smoothies (or desserts for that matter), so you may need to adjust the amount you add.

Creamy Peanut Butter Chocolate Avocado Smoothie
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 small banana, chopped (frozen works great!)
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Combine all ingredients into a blender (I used my magic bullet). Blend for 1 minute, or until super creamy. Add ice as necessary.
Have you ever added avocado to a smoothie? It lends such a creamy and smooth texture. So good!
