What you’ll need for this recipe
How to make almond butter and jam quesadillas
- Heat an electric skillet or large pan to medium heat. Take one large tortilla, add the almond butter to it from edge to edge. Next, add the jam onto the other tortilla. Put the two tortillas together.
- Add the quesadilla sandwich to your heated skillet/pan and cook for 2 minutes. Flip and cook for 1-2 minutes. You want both sides slightly crisped, and the almond butter and jam to be warm.
- Allow it to cool before cutting into triangles.
Substitutions for your sweet quesadillas
Instead of almond butter, you can use peanut butter or keep it nut free by using sunflower seed butter
Pick your favorite jam, or make chia jam
Don’t have jam around? Warm and mash frozen berries for an instant berry sauce
Mix up the tortillas you use – try corn, whole wheat, coconut or almond flour tortillas
