Healthy Peach Banana Smoothie Recipe – 5 Ingredients

If you’ve never added frozen cauliflower florets or cauliflower rice into your smoothies, let this be the sign that you need to try it.

You cannot taste it one bit, and it adds to the creaminess and great texture of this simple peach banana smoothie.

I’ve been adding cauliflower to smoothies for such a long time and it’s a great way also make a thicker smoothie. My veggie-loaded green smoothie and my blackberry almond smoothie are more tasty ones with frozen cauliflower in them!

Whether it’s peach season, or you’re using storebought or homemade canned peaches in light honey syrup, this smoothie is loaded with the best peach flavor!

Substitutions, optional variations & dietary adjustments

Below you’ll find a list of substitutions that will work well in this go-to smoothie recipe recipe.

If you try something different out, please leave a comment below letting us all know how it turned out!

Almond milk – You can use your milk of choice here. Oat milk, whole milk, coconut milk, hemp milk, and cashew milk are all great options. For a more fruity flavor, swap in orange juice in place of your favorite dairy-free milk.

Frozen cauliflower – You can use frozen cauliflower florets or cauliflower rice. If you do not have a high-speed blender, I suggest cauliflower rice because it is already more broken down and easier to blend. Other great vegetable substitutes would be frozen zucchini or fresh cucumber. Both do not add taste, but up the fiber and add a nice creaminess to the smoothie!

Frozen banana – You can use fresh ripe bananas in this recipe, however, you’ll want to adjust the ice or use frozen peaches to get the right ratio of frozen to fresh fruits/veggies.

Peaches – Fresh and canned peaches work well in this recipe. You can also use frozen peaches, however, you’ll want to adjust the banana and use fresh banana so that your ratio of frozen to fresh fruits and veggies won’t leave you with too thick of a smoothie.

Vanilla protein powder – While vanilla protein powder adds a nice flavor and extra sweetness, you can allow the natural sweetness from the fruit to stand out by using an unflavored protein powder. To add protein without protein powder, go ahead and swap in regular yogurt or vanilla or unsweetened Greek yogurt. You won’t get quite as many grams of protein in your smoothie, but it’s still a nice protein boost along with getting probiotics.
