Avocado popsicles are a creamy and delicious sweet treat! Made with 4 simple ingredients, with ripe avocados as the star, these popsicles are packed with healthy fats that will keep you energized for longer! They are dairy free, vegan, and make the creamy treat to enjoy on a hot summer day!
Creamy Avocado Lime Popsicles – Dairy Free Recipe!
The first time I added avocado into a sweet treat (my chocolate avocado pudding recipe – so good!), I became hooked on adding avocado into non-savory recipes.
I love it in my avocado smoothie because it instantly adds creaminess.
Avocado and coconut milk give these popsicles lots of healthy fats, which also in turns makes these popsicles more filling with sustained energy.
When the summer heat hits and my kids play outside all day, they need the lasting energy this creamy frozen treat offers.
I feel like I’m giving them a delicious superfood while they feel like it’s dessert. I say that’s a huge win!
They are lightly sweetened with a hint of lime.
We’re basically making avocado ice cream into popsicles. A great way to cool down on a hot day!
Why you’ll love this recipe
Dairy free + vegan popsicles – No dairy needed here! Coconut milk is the perfect addition that pairs well with avocado and lime juice.
They keep you full – Most popsicles are mostly fruit, which is energizing, but doesn’t give you lasting energy. The combination of coconut milk and avocado gives these popsicles the added bonus of sustained long term energy, plus it adds extra creaminess!
Quick to make – The minimal ingredients get a quick blend in the blender and are ready to be added to your favorite popsicle mold. I’m sharing my favorite mold options a little further down this page!

Favorite popsicle mold options
Silicone molds are my go to popsicle mold option. They make popsicle removing super easy! They work great and use wooden popsicle sticks (an awesome budget friendly option).
The traditional popsicle molds made with silicone are linked below, along with many other great options. These are the popsicle wrappers I used.
Traditional popsicle molds
- Silicone popsicle mold – a more traditional look for popsicles and easy to release with silicone. My favorite and go to one I use.
Push pop popsicle molds
- Silicone push pop popsicle molds – if you love a popsicle shape that’s reminiscent of push pops, check these fun ones out!
Baby teether popsicle molds
- Teether popsicle molds – perfect for babies and easy to hold – win-win!!
Popsicle sticks
- Multicolor popsicle sticks – while not necessary, they add a pop of color to your popsicles!
Dixie cups
- Dixie cups or small paper cups paired with wooden popsicle sticks are a great option that is also cost effective. You may already have everything on hand for this one!
How to store
Once your popsicles are made and ready to be enjoyed, you can add them into popsicle wrappers to keep for longer term storage.
They will store and stay fresh in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Can you add chocolate?
This can be easily be transformed into a chocolate avocado popsicle recipe!
Add 3-4 tbsp cocoa powder in with the ingredients, and 1-2 more tablespoons of maple syrup to leave you with a perfectly balanced chocolate sweet treat.
Adding the cocoa powder totally gives me homemade fudgesicles vibes!
Substitutions, optional variations & dietary adjustments
Below you’ll find a list of substitutions that will work well in this keto avocado popsicles recipe.
If you try something different out, please leave a comment below letting us all know how it turned out!
Coconut milk – You can easily swap in coconut cream for an extra creamy texture. If you don’t want to use coconut, soak and blend raw cashews with water for a great base alternative.
Avocado – If you just can’t get down with avocado but want something else that is green, use spinach and banana!
Maple syrup – Honey is a great substitute.
Lime – Lemon juice is another tasty alternative, as it orange or grapefruit juice.
